Major Impact

Meet Denis Zepeda, a client with Epilepsy Alliance Florida for over eight years. Denis was diagnosed with epilepsy in his home country Nicaragua at the age of 9. When he moved to the United States his family from back home was able to send him medication, and he would seek medical assistance from other services. Denis was able to find Epilepsy Alliance Florida through a family member. Denis was having 25 seizures per day before joining Epilepsy Alliance Florida, having access to medication and ongoing neurological care and support has helped decrease the number of seizures. Denis now has only one seizure per day, which has made a major impact on his life. He finds support through joining Epilepsy Alliance Florida’s support groups, where he has gained more education about epilepsy. Denis mentioned he is very happy to have joined Epilepsy Alliance Florida and is so grateful for all the additional services the organization has to offer.
